The Namibian Annual Music Awards (NAMAs) organizing committee announced the NAMA Dance and performances department for 2019 will be headed by Namibia’s own former Miss Namibia, sensational actress and experienced dancer, Odile Gertze.
The Namibian Annual Music Awards 2019 is well on the way to set a new bar again, not only for the best in Namibian music entertainment in Namibia this year, but across the African continent.
This year’s auditions for dancers to perform as part of the support of the myriad of stellar performances set for this year’s biggest night in Namibian music.
NAMA will again select the best of the best of Namibian dancers from the two-day audition open for any aspiring dancers that would like to join the official NAMA dance crew lineup for this year’s event.
Auditions will take place on 5 and 6 July 2019 between 08h00 and 20h00 at the Pulse Studios Shop 42B Old Breweries Complex, Tal street (entrance from Garten street), in Windhoek, Namibia.
All dancers wanting to audition needs to be at least 18 years of age or older and be either a Namibian citizen or legally be able to work in Namibia and must bring either a valid Namibian ID, Namibian Passport or Namibian Birth Certificate with.
Non-Namibian citizens can also audition if accompanied by a valid Namibian residence permit allowing you to work freely in Namibia. Candidates arriving at the auditions without the required valid documents will unfortunately not be considered to audition.
“Our focus is to elevate the NAMAs every year and dancers fall part of this exciting objective. We thus call out energetic dancers who simply sit at home shelving the art because of the lack of platforms to come out and showcase their talent,” said John Ekongo, member of the NAMA Organizing Committee.
